As lawyers, we have a unique understanding of the significance of the protections afforded by the state and federal constitutions. The American Civil Liberties Union of New Jersey, as one of the principal public interest legal organizations in the state, employs legal, policy, community organizing, and communication strategies to ensure that these protections are preserved and expanded.

By joining the ACLU-NJ Lawyers Network, members of the New Jersey legal community learn about and support the impact litigation, public education programs and community-based campaigns we undertake. Participants in the Lawyers Network represent a broad cross-section of attorneys from a wide range of practice areas. We may hold differing views on civil liberties issues yet share a common goal - to build a just society by preserving our fundamental freedoms.
