On Aug. 25, 2004, the ACLU-NJ filed this case in state court on behalf of three African American minors who were searched and subjected to discriminatory treatment by Manalapan police officers. As alleged in the complaint, officers searched and berated the boys while they told the boys' three white friends to go home. The case is expected to be settled soon.
