Please call your state senator to support Senate Bill 2820 which grants same-sex couples, along with opposite-sex couples over 62, rights of domestic partnership, including partners' rights to shared health insurance benefits, retirement programs, and hospital visitations.
The bill has already passed the Assembly and now needs the support of the Senate to make it to Governor McGreevey's desk.
It is scheduled for a vote on January 8 or 12, 2004 and it will be tight! Your senator needs to hear from constituents who support domestic partnership rights.
To determine your legislative district, call NJ Legislative Services at 800-792-8630.
The vote will be extremely close. Our collective support now is crucial to the bill's success. PLEASE CALL TODAY!
