Farrin is a Senior Staff Attorney at the American Civil Liberties Union of New Jersey, where she conducts litigation and advocacy to advance the rights of immigrants and Muslim Americans.

From 2013 to 2017, Farrin was a Visiting Assistant Clinical Professor at Seton Hall University School of Law, where she taught in the Immigrants’ Rights/International Human Rights Clinic and the Latin America Rule of Law Program. She supervised law students on a wide variety of immigration matters, federal litigation challenging unlawful immigration detention, community lawyering projects, and the empirical report Deportation Without Representation: The Access-to-Justice Crisis Facing New Jersey’s Immigrant Families.

Farrin previously taught at the University of Miami School of Law Immigration Clinic and served as a Skadden Fellow at the American Civil Liberties Union Immigrants' Rights Project.  She graduated from Yale College and Yale Law School and is a Director of the Refugee Reunification Project Fund. Farrin is the author of Due Process and Temporal Limits on Mandatory Immigration Detention, 65 Hastings L.J. 363 (2014).
