Jeffrey J. Wild has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the American Civil Liberties Union of New Jersey (ACLU-NJ) since 2008. In addition, Jeff is a member of the 250-attorney law firm of Lowenstein Sandler PC, where he specializes in high-stakes financial litigation in New Jersey and New York. He has been featured inNew Jersey Super Lawyers and America's Leading Lawyers For Business (Chambers USA).
Jeff is passionate about civil liberties of all kinds. He has handled pro bono matters over more than 25 years challenging (among other things) unconstitutional imprisonment, discrimination based on HIV-positive status, and secrecy in vote counting. At ACLU-NJ, Jeff has been on the committee that formulated ACLU-NJ's policy on "sexting," and he is also on the committee planning for ACLU-NJ's 50th anniversary.
Jeff has a B.A. from Cornell University, where he graduated in 1982 with Distinction in All Subjects, a major in English Literature, and a minor in Psychology. Jeff graduated in 1985 from Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. Before joining the Lowenstein Sandler law firm in 1988, Jeff worked at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, and also defended civil liberties at Columbia University's Child Advocacy Clinic, as well as at the Public Defender's Service of the District of Columbia (representing involuntary patients at the first federally-run psychiatric hospital in the United States).
