Open Public Meetings Act Reform

Modernizes the Open Public Meetings Act; requires local governments to post notices, agendas, and minutes online; prevents limits on videotaping public meetings; requires public bodies to provide descriptions of items on public agendas; prohibits members of public bodies from debating privately by e-mail or text during public meetings; requires public bodies record entire meetings, including public comment periods; enhances requirements for meeting minutes; creates right to attorneys’ fees for challenges to OPMA violations.
