Black/White Racial Disparity by County, 2000-2013

Blacks are disproportionately arrested for marijuana possession in every county in New Jersey. However, some counties have particularly egregious enforcement disparities; these counties also tend to have the smallest Black populations. From 2000-2013, of the four counties with the highest black-white racial disparities (Salem, Warren, Hunterdon, and Ocean), three of them (Warren, Hunterdon, and Ocean) have Black populations at or below 3 percent.
