Join the ACLU of New Jersey, New Jersey Prison Justice Watch, survivors of isolated confinement, and our partners in commemorating the seventh anniversary of the passage of the Isolated Confinement Restriction Act (ICRA), which prohibits prisons and jails from keeping people in solitary confinement for a prolonged period of time.

After years of advocacy led by survivors of prolonged isolation, New Jersey provided a national example of criminal legal system reform when Gov. Phil Murphy signed ICRA into law in 2019. This luncheon will honor those who made this important change a reality.
