The ACLU of New Jersey submitted an amicus brief in support of casino workers who sued the state for exempting casinos from the Smoke Free Air Act. The brief argues that the appellate court should reinstate the workers’ case because trial court applied the incorrect legal standard when it evaluated the workers’ claim that the exemption violates their right to equal protection of the laws.
