Hannah Seewald is the Communications Associate for the ACLU of New Jersey. In her role, she supports the Communications Department with content creation, media relations, asset management, and administrative tasks. She also helps build relationships with the press and support initiatives to strengthen the team’s work.

Hannah loves storytelling and uplifting people to share their unique perspectives. Her professional experience before coming to the ACLU-NJ centered around helping others develop the agency to speak up and to create authentic content and meaningful community. She produced Spanish media shows for Temple University Television, coached local students on dialogue facilitation, and created media packets for broadcast talent. Hannah also worked with nonprofit organizations including the National Geographic Society, the Joint National Committee for Languages, the Fox Chase Cancer Center, and IGNITE. 

Hannah grew up in Northern New Jersey and went to college one state over in Philadelphia at Temple University. She received a B.A. in Communication and Social Influence with minors in Public Health and Spanish. 

Her recent accolades include being published in the School for International Training’s Digital Collections for her qualitative study on the effects of the pandemic on the development of young children’s nutritional habits in a section of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and being honored with the Diamond Award, the highest recognition by Temple University Student Affairs given to an undergraduate student for superior leadership, academic achievement, service, and impact on a community.
