The ACLU-NJ works to protect New Jerseyans from all forms of discrimination to ensure that everyone has equal access to opportunity. Using state and federal protections, including the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination - one of the strongest anti-discrimination laws in the country, the ACLU-NJ has addressed discrimination based on race, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, religion, national origin, and other protected characteristics.

Discrimination in all its forms, whether overt or subtle, is harmful to all of us, and is far too often ingrained in law and policy.
